Chesnaught’s sub-Fighting typing also gives it a key Dark type resistance, which means it would be a textbook counter to very strong threats such as Shiftry, Umbreon and Scrafty. This key Rock resistance would also give it much better matchups than Meganium against Deoxys-Defense without Psycho Boost, Melmetal and Bastiodon.
